Payday Super
Super is now paid with every pay run
Since 1 July 2026, employers pay their employees' super guarantee each payday rather than quarterly. The contributions need to reach each employee's fund within 7 business days of payday.
We build this into your pay runs, so super is calculated, paid and reported alongside wages each time.
What this means for you
- No more separate quarterly super payments
- Cash flow planned around each pay cycle
- Payroll software and clearing house set up for Payday Super
- Super shown on each STP report

How a pay run works
A simple routine, every pay cycle
You stay in control: nothing is paid until you've approved it.
Timesheets checked
We review hours, leave and any changes for the period and ask you about anything unusual.
Pay run for approval
We prepare the pay run and send you a short summary to approve.
Staff paid
Once you approve, wages are paid and payslips go to each employee.
Reported and super paid
The STP report is lodged with the ATO and super is paid to the funds.
Common questions
Payroll in Adelaide: your questions answered
Do I need to report payroll through Single Touch Payroll?
Yes. Employers report wages, tax withheld and super to the ATO through STP each time they pay their staff. We lodge the STP report with every pay run and finalise it at the end of the financial year.
What is Payday Super?
From 1 July 2026, employers pay the super guarantee each payday instead of quarterly, and it must reach the employee's fund within 7 business days. We include super in every pay run so it's paid and reported on time.
How often can you run payroll?
Weekly, fortnightly or monthly, whichever suits your business. We agree the schedule with you up front and send each pay run for your approval.
Can you take over our payroll part-way through the year?
Yes. We'll check the year-to-date figures in your software, set up anything that's missing and carry on from your next pay run.
Do you handle payroll tax and WorkCover in South Australia?
Yes. If your business is registered for payroll tax with RevenueSA or for WorkCover with ReturnToWorkSA, we can prepare and lodge those returns for you.
Can you set up payroll for our first employee?
Yes. We can register you for PAYG withholding, set up payroll in your software and collect your new employee's TFN declaration and super details.
